EC full bench to review Bengal poll readiness amid SIR case rush

The full bench of the Election Commission of India (ECI), led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, will visit West Bengal on March 9 and 10 to review the State's preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections, amid concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The two-day visit will conclude with a comprehensive review meeting on March 10, focusing on administrative preparedness, security deployment and logistical arrangements. It follows a virtual review on Monday by Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti, attended by Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal and senior police officers.
