Delhi continued to battle severe flooding on Friday as the Yamuna river swelled to 207.3 meters, far above the danger mark of 205.33 meters, leaving low-lying areas submerged and displacing thousands. The crisis unfolded even as Punjab struggled with a fresh breach of the Sutlej river in Ludhiana district, raising the spectre of further devastation across North India.

From Nigam Bodh Ghat, where waist-deep waters forced residents to abandon homes, to Monastery Market, where boats replaced rickshaws on submerged lanes, his reporting laid bare the scale of disruption. A fully drowned bus near Yamuna Vatika served as a chilling reminder of how public spaces have been swallowed whole.
