Delhi air pollution: Supreme Court advises use of masks amid *severe*, air quality In Delhi-NCR

The Supreme Court in the case has issued strict adherence to preventive health measures, which includes wearing masks, as air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to deteriorate.

The court referred to an order by the Commission for Air Quality Management, CAQM dated November 17, 2024.
The circular issued highlighted the implementation of Stage-IV ('the Severe-L, Air Quality) measures under the revised Graded Response Action Plan, GRAP.
The circular reads that everyone is advised to ensure wearing of mask and taking health measures mentioned in the aforesaid order.
The Commission for Air Quality Management, CAQM invoked Stage-IV measures following a significant rise in AQI levels, which crossed 450 on November 17, 2024.
