Levelling Grave Allegations Against AAP, the Farmer Leader Said the Government Ended the Movement to Save Arvind Kejriwal
Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal ended his indefinite hunger strike on Sunday after 131 days of protest, during a farmers' mahapanchayat at the Sirhind grain market in Fatehgarh Sahib. His decision came a day after Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan appealed to him to call off the fast, assuring farmers of a fresh round of talks in Chandigarh on May 4.
Addressing the gathering, Dallewal accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab of sabotaging the farmers' agitation. "The AAP government ended the movement to save Arvind Kejriwal. I am ending the hunger strike not because of the government, but at the repeated requests of farmers," he said.
