CRPF inspector killed in Udhampur terror attack

A CRPF inspector was martyred on Monday during a terrorist ambush targeting an area domination patrol party of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police at Chill, Dudu, in Udhampur district.

Initial reports indicate that the encounter erupted when joint security forces were conducting routine patrols in the area. The terrorists, who had been lying in wait, ambushed the forces, resulting in the tragic loss of the CRPF Inspector. The operation to neutralise the attackers is ongoing at the time of going to press, with security forces launching a massive cordon and search operation in the region.
