Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Farmer welfare is the top priority of the Narendra Modi government at the centre.

"Serving farmers and the poor is the worship of God. Farmers should move forward, the poor should also move forward and our Didis are also moving forward", he said during his visit to Karnal's Sultanpur village after meeting Drone Didis.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we are constantly trying to ensure that the farmers' produce is sold at a reasonable price", said the Minister during his visit to Kurukshetra and Karnal of Haryana on Wednesday.
