BROOS: APPEALS TO SAFA TO ASSESS STADIUM PROTECTION MUCH BETTER

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has expressed his concern over the lack of security at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium that threatened to bring their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo-Brazzaville on Friday to a premature end.

Bafana were 2-0 up in their Group K clash when Mauritanian referee Dahane Beide stopped the game in the 29th minute. The referee acted after a few supporters invaded the pitch to celebrate Teboho Mokoena's second goal with the Bafana team.
