Perilous days ahead for Reds

Arsenal's short trip to Chelsea on Sunday is the pick of the weekend's English Premier League matches, but most focus is on Liverpool and their travails.

The champions are in turmoil after a 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest last weekend and it could get even worse this week.
Ordinarily, Liverpool should beat PSV Eindhoven of the Netherlands in the Champions League tonight and then also dispatch West Ham United away on Sunday, but the Reds to win both outings are no longer banker bets. In fact, both games are filled with peril for Liverpool and their fans.
PSV is a side that Liverpool manager Arne Slot will know well from his time at Feyenoord before he moved to Anfield. On paper they are certainly no match for Liverpool, but they have made an impact in Champions League already this season - like a 6-2 home win over Napoli and draws on the road at Bayer Leverkusen and Olympiakos.
