NHI, private sector should be level

Here is a straightforward way of taking the ideology out of the National Health Insurance (NHI) debate. It requires that you understand money and tax differently, and that is just the way things work.

The government should be doing everything it can to fix the many parts of the public health care system that are broken.

In other words, it should compete with the private sector. We will all then have a choice. The ANC government has failed to maintain standards of practice and health facilities, and have not built enough new hospitals and clinics.
