Lucky number 13 for premier Lesufi

Gauteng is facing 13 major, urgent challenges and has its hands full addressing these, premier Panyaza Lesufi said during his 2025 state of the province address (Sopa) yesterday.

"We have to reverse the impact of what I term G13 problems if we are worthy of being called government. If we can't resolve these problems, then we have no right to claim that we are a government based on the will of the people," he said.

While apologising "wholeheartedly" to Gauteng residents for the ongoing water issues, Lesufi assured them the government is taking action.
