Big-gun clash at Soccer City
The Citizen
|October 30, 2024
Three TAB soccer pools have R100,000 carryovers this Friday and Saturday, and there's an abundance of exciting matches in TAB soccer bets from tonight through Sunday including League Cup clashes in England and the Chiefs-Sundowns showdown at Soccer City.
Soccer City came close to being filled last month when Kaizer Chiefs hosted Mamelodi Sundowns in a league encounter and it could be that the cavernous cathedral of South African soccer is at capacity this Saturday when the two clubs clash again.
This time it's the quarterfinals of the Carling Knockout and could be the first time the Johannesburg venue is filled for a local soccer match other than the Soweto derby between Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The game is the headline clash in Saturday's carryover TAB Soccer 10 and Soccer Any 13 Xtra bets. Both pools kick off with R100,000 carryover money in the pot and both offer prospects for soccer fans to win big money!
Sundowns were 2-1 winners when the two clubs met on 29 September, coming from a goal down inside the opening 10 minutes to lead 2-1 by half-time and hold on for victory.
