'Yobs have made me a prisoner in my own home'

TARGETED just for being himself, John Wallace is being terrorised by young yobs who are abusing him over his appearance.

The 51-year-old says he has been left feeling like a prisoner in his own home since the hooded teens discovered where he lived around eight months ago and began regularly kicking his door and smashing his windows.

Police are hunting the young thugs, who officers say have vandalised John’s home and shouted “derogatory” comments at him And John, who believes he is being abused because of his appearance and distinctive dress style, has told of his torment at being hounded for who he is.

The self-employed clothes maker said: “I make clothes for a living and I have got my own look. It is what it is, it's not a reason to abuse someone.

“They are waiting for me wherever I go. I'm in real fear for my safety.
