NEWCASTLE United boss Eddie Howe has offered an honest verdict on the performances of Lewis Miley and Joe Willock after the 0-0 draw at Bournemouth - but warned opportunities will not be unlimited to impress.

- By LEE RYDER

Miley's performance won plaudits by some observers while former Arsenal man Willock disappointed in an advanced role. Howe admitted that it will be tough to break past Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali and urged stars to grasp their chance.

Howe will look at his midfield again when Bradford City head to St James’ Park in the Carabao Cup third round and when asked on how he keeps Miley and Willock happy, he told the Chronicle: "Doing the maths is quite difficult. You need strength in midfield, and those opportunities aren’t going to be there maybe as readily as any player likes.
