RAID AFTER REPORTS OF SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AT PROPERTY
AN investigation into sex worker exploitation in Newcastle city centre has seen police arrest 10 people and safeguard victims.
On Thursday morning, officers attended Leazes Park Road after receiving information, going on to execute multiple warrants around suspected human trafficking and modern slavery offences at a premises and adjoining flats.
Northumbria Police’s Serious Organised Crime Exploitation Team was involved in the operation, supported by the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit, Newcastle City Council and Immigration Enforcement.
