Joy as dad wins £560k in radio comp

A NORTH East dad is more than half a million pounds richer after winning a competition on the radio.

Sheldon Wilson from Ryton, Gateshead, has scooped a £560,000 prize in a Hits Radio competition.

The 31-year-old, who lives with his wife Sian, 25, and their two children, age five and two, was told the news live on air by Hits presenter Gemma Atkinson. He said the win couldn't have come at a better time.
