Isak faces fine as board lose patience with absent star
The Chronicle
|August 18, 2025
EDDIE Howe revealed that Newcastle United's board are considering whether to fine Alexander Isak after the star failed to fulfil his duties in the Premier League.

It could be argued that Isak's no-show for the clash against Aston Villa led to the loss of two Premier League points.
And it is understood that United are pondering when to take action on Isak with the Sweden striker now free from the groin injury that kept him out of the trip to the Far East in preseason.
When asked if Isak is on the brink of being fined, Howe said: "Other people are dealing with that issue. I'm concentrating on the team and our next game."
