Howe weighs up switch for big clash

EDDIE Howe admits that he is pondering switching the roles of Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes for tonight's Champions League clash against Marseille, writes LEE RYDER.

It was Howe's move to switch Tonali to a number six and push Bruno into the eight role that changed the course of last season.

But Howe reversed that tactical tweak against Man City at the weekend during the 2-1 win.

When asked about whether he would be making the moves permanent, Howe said in Marseille: "I think they can both do everything. There are loads of different reasons why I switched their positions. On this occasion, I think it benefited both their performances. Every game is different, it's great to have options.
