A DRUNK thief threatened to bite the eyes out of a police officer

A DRUNK thief threatened to bite the eyes out of a police officer while trying to sink his teeth into his arm.
Martyn Maw was being arrested for stealing £30 worth of dog food from a supermarket when he suddenly turned violent.
The 38-year-old then made the threats while trying to bite a constable, which forced him to pull out and use his PAVA spray, a court was told. Maw was finally detained and pleaded guilty to shop theft and assaulting an emergency worker when he appeared in the dock earlier this year.
