Drink for flu put driver over limit

A drink-driver crashed her car after having whisky and honey for “flu-like symptoms”.

Annie Wilkinson collided with parked vehicles near her home. A court heard police were called and officers spoke to the 60-year-old, who admitted she'd had a drink but wouldn't say how much.

She was arrested after failing a roadside breath test and later gave a reading of 77mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when the legal limit is 35mcg.
