Cirkin back in action for Black Cats

FORGOTTEN Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin has spoken of his delight after making his long-awaited return to action with the U21s.
His initial appearance against Ipswich Town marked his first outing since the EFL Championship playoff final, with the left-back having endured a frustrating few months on the sidelines across the summer and early season following wrist and knee setbacks.
Recently back in full training with Régis Le Bris' first-team squad, the 22-year-old has used U21 fixtures to continue building valuable minutes as he works towards full fitness.
"It just feels great to be back out there again," Cirkin told the club.
