Boss ready to put trust in young duo

NEWCASTLE United head coach Eddie Howe insists he would trust young duo Alex Murphy and Sean Neave to deliver if they are called upon in the next few weeks.

The Magpies are currently in the midst of a gruelling run of fixtures which could see them play twice a week until the end of January, should they beat Fulham in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals later this month.

With injuries to the likes of Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth, Sven Botman, Yoane Wissa and Will Osula, Howe has had to turn to Murphy and Neave, who have impressed at under-21 level, to be involved in Newcastle's matchday squads in recent weeks.
