Alex staying on Tyneside after loan plans scrapped

United have scrapped plans to send Alex Murphy out on loan after the injury to Fabian Schar against Leeds United.The Republic of Ireland youngster was due to be loaned to an EFL side but those plans have now been postponed.
Schar was carried off on a stretcher during the 4-3 win at St James’ Park in midweek.
