£15m care home opens its doors

The Bay View House care facility is officially opened by CEO Bunty Malhotra. Right, the rooftop terrace has views of the sea

The new Bay View House - owned by Prestwick Care, which is part of the Malhotra Group - formally opened its doors last week.

This comes the best part of a decade after the old Rex Hotel closed for the final time. The listed building, bought by the Malhotra Group in 2015, has been extensively rebuilt, but in a throwback to its old life as a prominent nightspot, even has a bar for residents.
