Teamwork makes the dream work in latest chapter of the Elden Ring franchise

RIGHT AS REIGN

There are some groups of bad guys you'll encounter between the main map locations who are tough to beat and give you very little reward for your efforts, so they're best avoided.

Likewise it’s tempting in the early hours of the game to try and farm runes from the tougher baddies who appear on Day Two of a run. We soon realised this was a mistake, as it took forever and the rewards were actually very minimal.

Bringing down bosses is the real key to being more powerful as they drop a large number of runes, so save your efforts for them.

If you're expecting Nightreign to essentially be Elden Ring 2 then you'll be disappointed.

This is a very different game that offers fans a new way to experience the franchise, and while there were times when it felt like it was harder than it needed to be, success felt very rewarding.

There’s no vast open-world maps here to explore, this is a much tighter version of the game, with co-op very much at its heart.
