|May 29, 2025
A HISTORICAL English landmark involving a former RAF station on the Duke of Westminster's land near Chester was involved in a tree application.
-
RAF Poulton was used for pilot training including Spitfires and Hurricanes between 1943 and 1945 but the concrete slabs and foundations laid down then are causing problems for trees which were later planted on top.
Applicants at Willow Cabin, The Green, Poulton have now applied to fell about 35 trees of which 30 are common ash with signs of ash dieback.
