The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has accused supporters of the deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero of launching a violent attack on his palace at Kofar Kudu, alleging that they broke down the gate and injured palace guards in the process.

In a statement issued by the Kano Emirate Media Team and signed by spokesperson Sadam Yakasai, the Emir claimed that the attackers vandalised security vehicles and created chaos as they forcefully entered the premises. According to the statement, the incident occurred when Bayero's convoy deliberately passed through the emir's palace route—despite an alternative being available via Koki to Nassarawa.
