To mark the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, a program on Vande Mataram, based on the theme “Self-Reliant India from National Consciousness,” was organized by FIEM India Foundation at The Leela Palace, Chanakyapuri today.
Chief guest on the occasion, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Government of India, said that few people know that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru even divided Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s national anthem, Vande Mataram. Therefore, this work, never done before, has been highlighted by the Government of India under the leadership of our illustrious Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and has told the world that the national anthem we sing in India, Vande Mataram, is divided and incomplete. Since this national anthem completed its 150th anniversary on November 7th, the country has a right to know. R
