UPI HITS 10 BILLION PAYMENTS, GROWTH STALLS IN SEPTEMBER

The Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an instant payment system used in India, had 10.56 billion transactions in September after breaking the 10-billion transaction barrier for the first time in August. This decreased from 10.58 billion in August by 0.2%. Additionally, it was slightly higher in value, rising by 0.3% to Rs 15.8 trillion from Rs 15.76 trillion in August.
