UNION MINISTER MANOHAR LAL OVERSEES PROGRESS AT 2400 MW TEHRI HYDRO POWER COMPLEX

During his visit, the minister inspected critical areas at the Tehri Power Complex and praised THDC’s efforts in advancing hydropower generation, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India’s development by 2047

Union Minister of Power, Manohar Lal, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction activities at the 2400 MW Tehri Power Complex located in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. This complex includes the 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant (PSP), which is a key project under THDC India Limited, a prominent Public Sector Unit in the power sector crucial to India’s renewable energy infrastructure.

During his visit, Minister Manohar Lal meticulously examined various critical areas such as the Butterfly Valve Chamber, Machine Hall, and Outfall of the Tehri PSP. He also reviewed the progress of river joining works essential for integrating the PSP into existing water management systems.
