THE THREE SACRED FORMS OF LORD KRISHNA IN RAJASTHAN: A DIVINE LEGACY OF VAJRANABH

For millions of devotees, Lord Krishna is not merely a deity but the embodiment of divine love, compassion, wisdom, and eternal bliss.
Among the countless temples dedicated to Krishna across India, three sacred idols in Rajasthan hold a unique place in Vaishnava tradition. These idols—Madan Mohan Ji, Govind Dev Ji, and Gopinath Ji—are believed to have been sculpted by Vajranabh, the great-grandson of Lord Krishna, based on descriptions provided by Krishna's family members who had personally seen Him.
According to ancient traditions, after Lord Krishna departed from the earthly realm, Vajranabh desired to preserve His divine form for future generations. Guided by the memories and descriptions of Krishna's relatives, he created several idols. Among them, three became especially revered because each was said to perfectly represent a different part of Krishna's divine body.
MADAN MOHAN JI: THE REPRESENTATION OF KRISHNA'S LOTUS FEET
Located in the historic town of Karauli in Rajasthan, the revered idol of Madan Mohan Ji is considered one of the most sacred Krishna deities in India. Tradition holds that when Vajranabh's family members, they remarked that its feet and lower body closely resembled those of Lord Krishna.
In Hindu spirituality, the lotus feet of the Lord symbolize refuge, surrender, and divine grace. Devotees believe that worshipping Madan Mohan Ji helps them develop humility, devotion, and a closer connection with Krishna.
