THDC India Ltd (THDCIL) has revealed plans to establish 3,270 megawatts (MW) of clean energy projects, encompassing pumped storage and floating solar, in Karnataka. The Uttarakhand-based company signed two memoranda of understanding with Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) for collaborative efforts in developing diverse projects. These projects include ground-mounted and floating solar installations, along with hybrid projects featuring pumped storage with a cumulative capacity of approximately 3,270 MW. The strategic alliance emphasizes THDCIL’s commitment to clean energy and signifies a promising trajectory for the region’s energy landscape. THDCIL currently manages a portfolio of 10 projects with a total capacity of 4,516 MW.
