Rajasthan is not only known for its majestic forts and royal heritage but also for its deep spiritual traditions.
Across the state, ancient temples dedicated to powerful forms of the Divine Mother attract millions of devotees every year. Among the most revered goddesses worshipped in Rajasthan are Maa Mansa Devi, Kolaria Rai Mata, Tanot Mata, and Karni Mata. Each of these shrines is associated with unique legends, miracles, and centuries-old faith that continue to inspire devotees.
MAA MANSA DEVI: THE WISH-FULFILLING GODDESS
Maa Mansa Devi is worshipped as a benevolent goddess believed to fulfill the wishes of her devotees. Several important temples dedicated to her are located across Rajasthan.
One of the most famous temples is situated in Rupadi village near Mandawa in Jhunjhunu district. The temple is believed to be around 175 years old. Local traditions state that the shrine emerged when a mountain split apart, revealing the divine presence of the goddess. Farmers in the region have long believed that Maa Mansa Devi protects their crops from hailstorms and natural calamities.
