PTerror threat looms, J&K DGP says launch pads active, 70 terrorists waiting

Aroun round 60 to 70 militants remain "active" on launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC), despite what Director General of Police Rashmi Ranjan Swain described as a "degraded capability."

Swain emphasized that Pakistan continues to send men and material to Jammu and Kashmir, posing a persistent challenge to security forces in the region.

In an interview with PTI, Swain, who heads both the J&K Police and the CID, highlighted the ongoing threat posed by foreign terrorists from Pakistan. While there have been some successes in countering infiltration attempts, Swain stressed the need for sustained efforts to further diminish the enemy's capacity to destabilize the area.
