The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) announced on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 7th edition of ‘India Mobile Congress 2023,’ the country’s most prominent telecom industry event. The three-day conference is a collaborative effort between the DoT and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
Scheduled to commence on October 27, 2023, the event will take place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This year’s India Mobile Congress is anticipated to draw over 100,000 participants, with more than 1,300 delegates, in excess of 400 speakers, over 225 exhibitors, and approximately 400 startups participating. Representatives from 31 countries are also expected to attend, making it a truly international gathering of telecom and technology professionals.
One of the notable features of this year’s event is the introduction of the ‘Aspire’ startup program. Designed to nurture the future of entrepreneurship among young innovators and industry delegates in the telecom and other digital domains, this initiative is expected to spark creativity and innovation within the industry.
