Organised food, grocery retailer revenue to grow 14-15% in FY'25

Organised brick-and mortar food and grocery (F&G) retailers are set to log a strong revenue growth of 1415 per cent in fiscal 2025 supported by continued healthy demand and expansion in underpenetrated Tier II and III cities and despite fierce competition from quick commerce channels.

This translates to three years of strong growth sequentially -- after 30 per cent in FY23 and an expected 15 per cent in FY24. Poonam Upadhyay, Director, CRISIL Ratings indicates that healthy demand outlook and low organised penetration will ensure mid-teens revenue growth for F&G retailers this fiscal and the next.
