New EU envoy to focus on firmer strategic ties with India, resilient supply chains

Boosting economic opportunities, ensuring resilient supply chains and promoting faster green and digital transition will be the key focus of the new European Union Ambassador Hervé Delphin as he assumes office amidst deepening strategic ties between the EU and India across trade, trusted-technology, security, green and clean energy technologies, sustainability and security.

My mission is to contribute to turn this into a reality for the mutual benefit of Europe, India, our companies and our people," said Delphin after presenting his Letters of Credence to President Droupadi Murmu. "The strategic partnership with India is one of the most significant relationships developed by the European Union on the global stage. It is an honour for me to represent the EU in India and contribute to make EU-India a defining force for the world of today and tomorrow," added Delphin.
