According to Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 421 out of 1,831 projects reported cost overrun and 845 projects were delayed.

In November of this year, a report from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) revealed that 421 infrastructure projects, each requiring an investment of Rs 150 crore or more, experienced a cost overrun exceeding Rs 4.40 trillion. Out of a total of 1,831 projects monitored by MoSPI, 421 incurred cost overruns, and 845 faced delays.
