The past week witnessed a robust surge in the combined market valuation of nine out of the top 10 most valued firms, marking a significant uptrend in equities. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys emerged as the leading gainers amid this bullish trend.

The BSE benchmark experienced a substantial rise of 1,658.15 points or 2.37% during the week. The 30-share BSE Sensex achieved a record closing high of 71,483.75 on Friday, registering a surge of 969.55 points or 1.37%. Intra-day, it peaked at 71,605.76, reaching an all-time high level with an increase of 1,091.56 points or 1.54%.
