High Court asks Delhi Police: Can AI software be used to trace missing persons?

The Delhi High Court in the case Dil Khush Bairwa Versus Govt Of NCT Of Delhi And Ors observed and has asked the Delhi Police to state if there is any artificial intelligence, AI software which can be used for checking the whereabouts of persons who may have gone missing due to various reasons, including unstable medical conditions.
The Division bench comprising of Justice Prathiba M Singh and Justice Dharmesh Sharma was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case observed and has directed the Delhi Police for filing a short affidavit in this regard.
In the present matter, the court was hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by a son seeking production of his old father who is missing since February 17, 2023.
