GQG, OTHER INVESTORS INVEST $1.1 BILLION IN ADANI POWER

US-based investment firm GQG Partners, in conjunction with other investors, has acquired an 8.1% stake in Adani Power Ltd for $1.1 billion, marking another significant investment by GQG in the Adani Group, one of India’s largest conglomerates. This investment showcases GQG’s confidence in the future potential of Adani Power, a major power producer in India with a notable presence in the renewable energy sector.

GQG Partners, known for managing over $60 billion in assets, has been actively investing in India for several years. In 2021, GQG invested $1.5 billion in Adani Green Energy, another entity within the Adani Group. The newly announced investment in Adani Power represents a substantial financial boost, emphasizing the investor’s faith in the company’s prospects.
