Situated on the route from Udaipur to Jaipur, about 111 kilometers away from Udaipur, this small town draws travelers with its legendary fort and tales of Rajput bravery. The fort’s heroic walls, ruined palaces, temples, and towers narrate the saga of centuries of courage, victories, and sacrifice.

ARRIVAL AND INTRODUCTION TO THE FORT

Our journey to the fort began with a scenic drive uphill, winding through narrow turns until the fort’s illuminated grandeur came into view. We were greeted by Parwati Sukhwal, a young guide of Rajasthani origin but brought up in South India. Fluent in multiple foreign languages and well-versed in history, she provided a comprehensive perspective on Chittorgarh’s legacy. We began our visit with the fort's light and sound show, a condensed yet captivating portrayal of the fort's illustrious past, which set the stage for the deeper exploration ahead.
