Woman home guard murdered in Potka, accused commits suicide

A newly appointed woman home guard posted at Potka police station was brutally murdered on Tuesday afternoon while returning home from duty.
The victim, identified as Jyotika Hembrom, had her throat slit with a sharp weapon ina shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across the region.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 2 pm at Chhota Sigdih village, barely half a kilometre from Potka police station.
