JMM accuses Centre of misleading nation on LPG supply

Ranchi, March 11: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya on Wednesday accused the Union government of misleading Parliament and public over availability of LPG and petroleum products, claiming the country is heading toward a serious energy crisis.

Addressing a press conference, Bhattacharya said recent decisions regarding LPG pricing and supply restrictions contradict assurances given earlier by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. He alleged the government first denied any shortage of LPG, crude oil, CNG or LNG but later increased prices and introduced restrictions on cylinder boo
