HC grills govt over viral prison dance videos in jail

The High Court helda hearing ona public interest petition concerning the viral videos of inmates dancing inside Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar.

During the hearing, the court expressed strong dissatfaction with the responses submitted by the jail administration and the state government, calling the affidavit incomplete. The bench, led by the Chief Justice, stated that suspending only lower-level staff such as warders or assistant jailers was insufficient.
