The Philippine men’s lacrosse team stamped its class right away with a 20-1 demolition of China in the opener of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Men's Lacrosse Championship in Wellington, New Zealand Tuesday, Jan. 6.
With a ticket for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship at stake, the Nationals didn’t hesitate, dominating both ends to win pulling away.
With its win, the Philippines topped Group B and will face Hongkong, which was still reeling from a 20-5 loss to Japan, this Wednesday, Jan. 7. China, on the other hand, faces Japan on the same day.
