Lately, I've fallen down a very specific Netflix rabbit hole: movies that remind us why dogs earned the title “man’s best

friend.”

First there was “Seventeen,” the tender Spanish-language film about a troubled teen searching for his therapy dog.

Then came “Dog Gone,” with Rob Lowe playing a determined father on a mission to find his son's lost pup.
