Family Accuses Vishwaraj Hospital Of Halting Care for 12 Hours

Loni Kalbhor : A serious controversy has erupted after the family of an accident victim alleged that Vishwaraj Hospital stopped treatment for nearly 12 hours because they could not pay additional money.

The injured youth, Anurag Yogesh Chikne, was seriously hurt in a major accident on the Pune-Solapur highway on March 11 within the Soratapwadi area of Haveli taluka. He was immediately admitted to Vishwaraj Hospital in Loni Station, where doctors reportedly had to amputate his severely crushed left arm in an emergency surgery.

According to the family, they initially paid ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 for treatment. The hospital had reportedly indicated that some expenses could be covered under the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Scheme, but later informed them that the scheme could not be applied and allegedly demanded more money.
