Pune : Air passengers across Pune are facing a fresh spike in ticket prices after several airlines introduced a fuel surcharge on both domestic and international flights.

Major carriers including Air India, IndiGo and Akasa Air have begun implementing the additional charges, leading to a noticeable increase in airfares and prompting many travellers to book tickets well in advance.

Passengers in Pune say the sudden rise in fares over the past two weeks has come as a surprise. Nishant Pathak, a resident of Kalyaninagar, said he noticed a sharp jump in ticket prices while searching for flights to Delhi.
