Hidden garden named as top spot for visitors

A HIDDEN Surrey garden, just a stone’s throw away from Godalming, has been named as one of the best spots to visit in the UK.

The Guardian named Vann, a five-acre garden sitting next to an historic family home, as one of the top 20 gardens in the country.

Reportedly used to film Disney's Christopher Robin and the BBC's Howards End, this unique beauty spot is only open at certain points throughout the year.

The Caroe family have lived at Vann, in Vann Lane, Hambledon, for 112 years, overseeing the upkeep of several magnificent gardens.

The most famous of these is the Jekyll Water Garden, where four pools slope into a woodland valley.

Visitors can criss-cross the stream on paths of Bargate stone and a number of bridges as they make their way through the space.
