Over the past few years a string of Nepalese restaurants has opened their doors in my local area to good reviews.

Perusing the menu, with a takeaway in mind, it struck me that the dishes were very similar to those to be found at most offering Indian cuisine.

Which may not come as a great surprise given the two countries' proximity, after all a chippy menu in Scotland is similar to one in Englandwith the addition of the odd unusual local delicacy, such as haggis or deep fried Mars bar.
